COVID-19 Impact

By Terri |  March 19, 2020

NOTE:  Due to COVID-19, some of our scheduled services are impacted.  Please check this website for updates regarding any of the meetings before attending or planning on attending.

Brothers and sisters, we understand these are challenging times for everyone.  Many things in life that we consider normal and have taken for granted are at present, at least temporarily, altered.  This can lead to anxiety and coupled with the threat of a potentially fatal contagion can lead to fear, panic, and hysteria.  But thankfully, His grace covers us and His peace reassures us that in the midst of much uncertainty He is still on the throne and in charge of all that has to do with us.  We can draw assurance and rest in His peace by contemplating these Scriptures:

For in Him, we live and move and have our being...  (Acts 17:28)

For God has not given us a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2Ti 1:7)

Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known unto God.  And the peace of God which passes all understanding will keep [or guard] your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Phi 4:6,7)

Now thanks be unto God, which ALWAYS causes us to triumph in Christ... (2Co 2:14)

Casting all your care upon Him; for He cares for you. (1Pe 5:7)

The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are open unto their prayers... (1Pe 3:12)

These are just a few.  Search the Word, and ask the Lord to lead you to Scriptures that will stabilize your faith in the midst of these trying times!  We encourage you and beseech you (even as Paul did the Thessalonians) "that you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word,..." (2Th 2:2)  His grace really IS sufficient for us in ALL things! (2Co12:9)  So let's gather our strength from Him and begin to look for opportunties to SHOW the goodness and kindness of God to our communities and neighbors!

Hey, and read all of Ps 91!  It's a beauty! :D
